6th SONATA Consortium Meeting, Perugia, Italy

On the 4th and 5th of November the SONATA partners were excited to meet up again in person for our 6th Consortium Meeting, this time in Perugia, Italy, hosted by Università degli Studi di Perugia.

As the project approaches the halfway mark, this meeting focussed on drilling down into specific areas for refinement, with workshops identifying ways to improve the SONATA Digital Twin and to explore potential heuristics that guide our current orchestration algorithm.

Looking ahead, another workshop gathered data for the upcoming Cost-Benefit Analysis tool. Our Key Stakeholder Representative partners also engaged in a lively discussion, deep-diving into how the project can best utilise their expertise and networks to shape our outputs strategically towards those who will be implementing them in the real world.

We also heard from our dedicated group of PhD students, offering invaluable contributions to the work of SONATA.

Partners were also offered the chance to see the facilities at the #EAPLAB, UNIPG, with a dedicated guided tour of the situational study track lab, investigating the wellbeing benefits of the SONATA adaptive technologies, and the other innovative lab facilities used to investigate multi-domain comfort. And, of course, we enjoyed the beautiful city of Perugia, with a fascinating guided tour of the historic town centre, and plenty of its delicious Umbrian cuisine.

In addition, this packed few days also hosted the 2nd SONATA Recommendations Dissemination Workshop at ECOMONDO, more on which is on the way. Stay tuned!
