On 20th June 2024, Stien Poncelet, Yaxuan Zhang and Alex Nguyen, from KU Leuven, attended IDEWE’s Inspiration Day in Leuven, Belgium. Here, Yaxuan Zhang tells us about the experience, representing the ongoing work the group are undertaking as part of the SONATA project.
“As KU Leuven representatives and partners in the SONATA project, we had the opportunity to present our research on adaptive architecture using robotic partitions from our Research[x]Design lab at the Inspiration Day. Hosted by IDEWE — Belgium’s leading expert in workplace safety, health, and ergonomics — the event featured hands-on, interactive sessions for industry partners to discover innovative solutions for enhancing workplace well-being. During the event, we presented the SONATA project’s core concept and goals through a simulation video and provided visitors with a virtual reality experience, allowing them to interact with the robotic partitions and explore their capabilities in various scenarios.”
