SONATA @ WISEWORK-C Cluster Webinar on Approaches to Mental Health in the Workplace

Oct 14, 2024 | Cluster

On Friday 11th October the SONATA project was delighted to take part in the Workplace Innovation for Sustainable Well-being WISEWORK-C Cluster Webinar on Approaches to Mental Health in the Workplace in honour of World Mental Health Day 2024.

After an introduction and welcome from Dr. Rita Araujo of DG Research & Innovation, European Commission, we heard from Dr. Karen Michell of IOSH about evidence-based policy to build a resilient workforce, before each of the Cluster projects introduced their work and the challenges we face on improving health and wellbeing in the workplace.

SONATA was represented by Alex Nguyen from KU Leuven, Marcel Schweiker from Uniklinik RWTH Aachen, and Benedetta Pioppi from EValTech R&D, introducing the methodologies and aims of SONATA and how we are working towards the production of standardised recommendations, which will offer concrete, evidence-based advice on how adaptive architectural technologies can improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of workers.

The webinar was a fascinating insight into the collective work of the #WISEWORKC and how each project is developing a different evidence-based intervention for the promotion of mental and physical health in changing work environments.

More information on the Cluster and its five projects can be found on the WISEWORK-C website.
